To clean off melted-on man-made fiber, set the iron to 3-dot or high temperature posítion and pass it over a clean piece of cotton which will draw the deposit off the surface. When you finish ironing ensure the heat control dial is in the OFF/MIN position. Put the iron on its heel and let it cool down. Then wind the flex cord around the rear of the iron and store iron safely on its heel

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTION INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Heat setting markings on the adjustable control dial of this iron matches those of the International Textile Care Labelling Code. Garments (e.g.: Nylon, Acetates. Acrilan, Courtelle, Orlon, Triacetates, Tricel.) marked with 1 dot recommendation should be ironed at the lower temperature range. Garments (e.g.: Wool, Polyester mixtures, polyester/cotton, Linen, Cotton. Rayon, Rayon mixtures, Rayon/linen) which are suitable for ironing at 2 and 3 dot sttings ususlly require steam pressing. Plug the iron in and set the heat control dial to the temperature required. Don't start ironing immediately. Rest the iron on its heel for a few minutes until the indicator linght goes off before you commence ironing. The indicator light will go on and off whilst you are ironing. This is normal and shows that the iron is maintaining the heat setting you have chosen. Begin with' cool' fabrics and work up the settings. The iron heats up quicker than it cools down, so you'll save time and electricity. Use the iron evenly without strong pressure.
